Your life is beautiful........

Your life is beautiful........

He game starts now. You have to score one thousand points. If you do that, you take home a tank with a big gun. Each day we will announce the scores from that loudspeaker. The one who has the fewest points will have to wear a sign that says "Jackass" on his back. There are three ways to lose points. One, turning into a big crybaby. Two, telling us you want to see your mommy. Three, saying you're hungry and want something to eat.

Guido: I forgot to tell you.
Dora: Go ahead.
Guido: You can't imagine how much I feel like making love to you. But I'll never tell anyone, especially not you. They'd have to torture me to make me say it.
Dora: Say what?
Guido: That I want to make love to you - not just once, but over and over again! But I'll never tell you that. I'd have to be crazy to tell you. I'd even make love to you now... right here for the rest of my life.
Guido: Mary! Send down the key! (speaking to the woman in the window)
Dora: (later) Mary! Send someone to give [him] a dry hat!
Man: (snatches hat off Guido's head, exchanges hats)

Guido: What are your political views?
Italian Official: [speaking to his two sons] Benito, Adolf! Be good !... Sorry Guido, what did you say?

Guido: (learning how to be a waiter) How far do I bow? I suppose I can even go 180 degrees.
Eliseo: Think of a sunflower, they bow to the sun. But if you see some that are bowed too far down, it means they're dead. You're here serving, you're not a servant. Serving is the supreme art. God is the first of servants. God serves men, but he's not a servant to men.

Giosué: "No Jews or Dogs Allowed." Why do all the shops say, "No Jews Allowed"?
Guido: Oh, that. "Not Allowed" signs are the latest trend! The other day, I was in a shop with my Chinese friend and his pet kangaroo, but their sign said, "No Chinese or Kangaroos Allowed," and I said to my friend, "Well, what can I do? They don't allow kangaroos."
Giosué: We let everyone in our shop, don't we?
Guido: Well, tomorrow, we'll put one up. We won't let in anything we don't like. What don't you like?
Giosué: Spiders.
Guido: Good I don't like Visigoths. Tomorrow, we'll get a sign: "No Spiders or Visigoths Allowed."

Guido: [being shipped to a concentration camp] You've never ridden on a train, have you? They're fantastic! Everybody stands up, close together, and there are no seats!
Giosué: There aren't any seats?
Guido: Seats? On a train? It's obvious you've never ridden one before! No, everybody's packed in, standing up. Look at this line to get on! Hey, we've got tickets, save room for us!

Giosué: Look, they stopped the train to let Mom get on.
Guido: Dora...

I'd even make love to you now... right here for the rest of my life.

you are special.....

you are special.....

  1. People think that the most painful thing in life is losing the one you value and love. The truth is, the most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of valuing someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too.
  2. Don’t try to hog loneliness and keep it all to yourself. Share it with a special someone .
  3. It is not true that everyone is special. It is true that everyone was once special and still possesses the ability to recover it.
  4. And like flowers in the fields, that make wonderful views, when we stand side-by-side in our wonderful hues..We all make a beauty so wonderfully true.We are special and different, and just the same, too! So whenever you look at your beautiful skin, from your wiggling toes to your giggling grin...
  5. Think how lucky you are that the skin you live in, so beautifully holds the "You" who's within.
  6. Being different is a revolving door in your life where secure people enter and insecure exit.
  7. you are special, gifted and unique. You have the power within to rise above any situation. Now use it, share it and be a blessing!
  8. We can allow satellites, planets, suns, universe, nay whole systems of universe, to be governed by laws, but the smallest insect, we wish to be created at once by special act.
  9. The most painful thing in life is losing your self in the process of valuing someone too much and forgetting that you are special too.
  10. There are some people that you just can't help but look at. Not necessarily because they're beautiful, just because you see them, and you know, you just know, that they're gonna be something special. You can just feel it when you're in their presence.
  11. A man does not have to feel less than human to realize his sin; oppositely, he has to realize that he gets no special vindication for his sin.
  12. It was a very ordinary day, the day I realised that my becoming is my life and my home and that I don't have to do anything but trust the process, trust my story and enjoy the journey. It doesn't really matter who I've become by the finish line, the important things are the changes from this morning to when I fall asleep again, and how they happened, and who they happened with. An hour watching the stars, a coffee in the morning with someone beautiful, intelligent conversations at 5am while sharing the last cigarette. Taking trains to nowhere, walking hand in hand through foreign cities with someone you love. Oceans and poetry.
  13. It was all very ordinary until my identity appeared, until my body and mind became one being. The day I saw the flowers and learned how to turn my daily struggles into the most extraordinary moments. Moments worth writing about. For so long I let my life slip through my fingers, like water. I'm holding on to it now,and I'm not letting go.
  14. I don't know, Jondalar. Maybe you haven't found the right woman. Maybe the Mother has someone special for you. She doesn't make many like you. You are really more than most women could bear. If all your love were concentrated on one, it could overwhelm her, if she wasn't one to whom the Mother gave equal gifts.
  15. In the book, hummin bins made castles, and towers up to the sky. They tamed the animals and took care of them. And hummin bins helped each other. They were always good.
  16. "When I was done, Ma asked, 'Delly, what are hummin bins?' 'They're like people, but better,' I said. Then I told her, 'When I grow up, I'm going to live with the hummin bins,' and she smiled.
  17. "But Galveston grabbed the book, 'Let me see that,' she said, and started laughing. 'This says human beings. There's no such things as hummin bins.'                                         "'Ma, is it true?' I asked, and she nodded. 'How come you didn't tell me?' I cried."'I liked the hummin bins better, too,' she said." ..."RB's right, Ferris Boyd. You are a hummin bin." Her eyeballs were wet, like they were swimming
  18. Rafe made people find something in themselves...(he) made me dream, he saw what I could hope to be, and helped me hope it. He did that to everyone he knew - especially the ones he knew the best.
  19. Millions of people can draw. Art is whether there is a scream in you wanting to get out in a special way.Millions of people can draw. Art is whether there is a scream in you wanting to get out in a special way.
  20. The greatest things that have ever happened in this world, had their genesis in the wake of special relationships of rare destiny.
  21. There comes some special times that you got to keep "impossibility thinkers" behind you and walk with those are prepared to go forward with you because that is the only option to keep you going!
  22. Gen-Ys are delusional; Most people are not special—otherwise “special” wouldn’t mean anything. Even right now, most of Gen-Ys reading this are thinking, “Good point. But I actually am one of the few special ones”—and this is the problem.
  23. Everybody is Beautiful and Unique in Their Own Special Way, Beauty goes Beyond the Outer Appearance. I think it's More Important to have a Beautiful Mind. Stop Comparing Yourselves Amongst Yourselves. Nobody is like You and Never will be You. Stop being Jealous of Others. Stop Hating on Others. Appreciate your Qualities and Characteristics.
  24. Sometimes we are hated for the color of our skin or our beliefs, people will see you and judge you before they even get to know you, be proud of who you are and where you came from, you are special and dont let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise.

You are not alone.....

You are not alone.....

I've also seen that great men are often lonely. This is understandable, because they have built such high standards for themselves that they often feel alone. But that same loneliness is part of their ability to create.

To go out with the setting sun on an empty beach is to truly embrace your solitude.

I finally faced the fact that it isn't a crime not having friends. Being alone means you have fewer problems

Loneliness is my least favorite thing about life. The thing that I'm most worried about is just being alone without anybody to care for or so Look at the sky. We are not alone.

The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work.
Read more at  who will care for me.
  • Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude.
  • man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man's life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self.
  • Language... has created the word 'loneliness' to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word 'solitude' to express the glory of being alone..
  • You could be lonely in a group of people. I like being alone. I like eating by myself. I go home at night and just watch a movie or hang out with my dog. I have to exert myself and really say, oh God, I've got to see my friends 'cause I'm too content being by myself.

Characteristics of Successful ......

Characteristics of Successful ......

Planning every aspect of your home business is not only a must, but also builds habits that every home business owner should develop, implement, and maintain. The act of business planning is so important because it requires you to analyze each business situation, research and compile data, and make conclusions based mainly on the facts as revealed through the research. Business planning also serves a second function, which is having your goals and how you will achieve them, on paper. You can use the plan that you create both as map to take you from point A to Z and as a yardstick to measure the success of each individual plan or segment within the plan.

Your home business is not about the products or services that you sell. Your home business is not about the prices that you charge for your goods and services. Your home business is not about your competition and how to beat them. Your business is all about your customers, or clients, period. After all, your customers are the people that will ultimately decide if your business goes boom or bust. Everything you do in business must be customer focused, including your policies, warranties, payment options, operating hours, presentations, advertising and promotional campaigns and website. In addition, you must know who your customers are inside out and upside down.

One of the greatest myths about personal or business success is that eventually your business, personal abilities, products or services will get discovered and be embraced by the masses that will beat a path to your door to buy what you are selling. But how can this happen if no one knows who you are, what you sell and why they should be buying?
Self-promotion is one of the most beneficial, yet most underutilized, marketing tools that the majority of home business owners have at their immediate disposal.

You should avoid getting overly caught up in the high-tech world, but you should also know how to take advantage of using it. One of the most amazing aspects of the internet is that a one or two person business operating from a basement can have a superior website to a $50 million company, and nobody knows the difference. Make sure you're keeping up with the high-tech world as it suits your needs.. The best technology is that which helps you, not that which impresses your neighbors.

You must learn to say no.....

You must learn to say no.....

My heart goes out to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy. I was lucky enough to avoid the devastation of the severe storm as my book tour has taken me to the West Coast and to Hawaii; I hope that all readers are managing to deal with the huge challenges that an event of such magnitude presents. It is during times such as these that we must, more than ever, call on our tools to help us maintain our health and deal with stress effectively by responding to stress, rather than being overtaken by the stress response for long periods of time.

I want to continue with my presentation of the nine natural steps by introducing the third step, learning to say “No.” It’s something that was critical in my recovery and that I still find myself coming back to again and again
.
The difficulty that we often experience in saying No, in being true to what we really want, can be a significant cause of stress. Whenever we are not true to ourselves, we create disharmony that is painful or that gradually festers and saps our life of joy. By learning to say No to whatever is detrimental to your well-being and instead following your innermost feelings, you will experience a strong sense of contentment in your life and in the decisions you make. Even when inevitable bad times or challenges arise, you will be able to weather those storms with inner strength.

Saying No is one of the most important ingredients in a life filled with peace of mind and contentment. This is not a No rooted in cynicism or emotional withdrawal; with the ability to say No comes balance and healthy boundaries. Despite the benefits of this universally understood word, many of us have a hard time saying it for fear of upsetting someone else, and we may end up feeling burdened, resentful, and even victimized. Ironically, we forget that we were the ones who said Yes in the first place.

From time to time you may find yourself looking back and wishing you had chosen differently in a decision. Maybe you entered a career you didn’t really want or married someone who wasn’t right for you or took on more responsibility as you tried to get a bigger home, and now you find that these decisions haven’t brought you the happiness you expected. There are no guarantees in life, but wherever you are, you can begin living in closer alignment with your innermost feelings starting today, knowing that you can’t be sure of what will happen, but at least you did your best. That is where the courage lies.

Your future is bright if you .....

Your future is bright if you .....

  1. The future rewards those who press on. I don't have time to feel sorry for myself. I don't have time to complain. I'm going to press on.
  2. You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
  3. It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.
  4. What matters is to live in the present, live now, for every moment is now. It is your thoughts and acts of the moment that create your future. The outline of your future path already exists, for you created its pattern by your past.
  5. The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.
  6. Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.
  7. A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown.
  8. Our human compassion binds us the one to the other - not in pity or patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future                             .
  9. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.

you are amazing my friend.......

When I see your face (face, face...)
There's not a thing that I would change

Make the stars look like they're not shinin'
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying
She's so beautiful
And I tell her everyday
Yeah

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.....

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.....

Strong people don't give up when they come across challenges. They just work harder.
The phrase is a play on words involving idiomatic (Proverb) and distinct meanings of "go" and "tough." In context, "the going" means "the situation," "gets tough" means "becomes difficult," "the tough" means "people who are strong or enduring," and "get going" means "become fully engaged." Taken together, the meaning of the phrase is "When the situation becomes difficult, the strong will work harder to meet the challenge."
Another interpretation could mean, "Those who act tough and proud will vacate a situation when it becomes difficult lest they be proven not as tough as they appear to be."
Yet another interpretation could mean, "When the situation becomes almost impossible, those who are truly strong are wise enough to pull out, rather than being totally decimated."
The origin of the phrase has been attributed both to Joseph P. Kennedy (1888–1969), father of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, and sometimes to Norwegian-born American football player and coach Knute Rockne (1888–1931).

A picture is worth a thousand words.....

A picture is worth a thousand words.....

one picture is worth a thousand words. This saying was invented by an advertising executive, Fred R. Barnard. To promote his agency's ads he took out an ad in Printer's Ink in 1921 with the headline “One Look Is Worth a Thousand Words” and attributed it to an ancient Japanese philosopher. Six years later he changed it to “Chinese Proverb: One Picture Is Worth Ten Thousand Words,” illustrated with some Chinese characters. The attribution in both was invented; Barnard simply believed an Asian origin would give it more credibility.
An early use of the exact phrase appears in an 1918 newspaper advertisement for the San Antonio Light which says:
One of the Nation's Greatest Editors Says:
One Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

The San Antonio Light's Pictorial Magazine of the War
Exemplifies the truth of the above statement—judging from the warm

reception it has received at the hands of the Sunday Light readers.
It is believed by some that the modern use of the phrase stems from an article by Fred R. Barnard in the advertising trade journal Printers' Ink, promoting the use of images in advertisements that appeared on the sides of streetcars. The December 8, 1921 issue carries an ad entitled, "One Look is Worth A Thousand Words."

You can't believe......

You can't believe......

1. I can see distorsion in the close-up, the picture jumps. So I think it’s either a projection, or a stroboscopic effect.
I think it’s filmed and then projected, no real liquid there.
But how to achieve the clearly three- dimensional projection, is beyond me.
I say, kill the witch!!

2. Someone there claims it’s not a strobe but it looks to me exactly like a strobe slightly out of phase with water droplets, giving the illusion they are moving upwards.

3. I’m pretty sure it has to do with static electricity. The crossed metal under the cans suggests this. A similar thing was done by Walter Lewin in an OCW lecture on electromagnetisme, (Lewin’s experiment produced visible and audible electric discharges using dripping water that was led through crossed.pipes to build up charge (if my recollection is correct).

4. Definitely a strobe. The same phenomenon that makes a spoked wheel seem to be going backwards, or forwards, or even not moving when it’s really going forward.

5. Its to do with sound waves played at a certain frequency. The oil is coming out on the can but a vibration being played at a certain frequency from the source of the oil gives the optical illusion that its falling upwards. You can find videos like this on youtube, where they do this or even make it appear that the liquid has frozen mid air.

6. if this is a trick with a strobe why does slowing the play back not destroy the trick? or watching out door during day time so my lamp is not flickering?
i see the drops go upwards no matter how i try to replay without strobe effect.

clever effect. i think we have not reached it’s proper description.

Google's 16th Birthday Marked With a Doodle.....

Google's 16th Birthday Marked With a Doodle.....

google_birthday_doodle_september_27_2014.jpg
Google is celebrating its 16th 'birthday' with an animated doodle on Saturday. It's worth pointing out that September 27 is actually not the date of the company's incorporation - which is September 4.
The first time Google created a doodle to celebrate its birthday was way back in 2002, to mark Google's 4th birthday. Google was founded on September 4, 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. At that point in time, the two were Ph.D. students at Stanford University who didn't know they were going to change the world forever.

Saturday's animated doodle features the letters of Google in their iconic blue, red, yellow and green colours, with the letter 'G' wearing a party hat. The 'G', along with the first 'O' and 'L' feature stick figure arms and legs, and are the stars of the show, with the other letters remaining static throughout.
The animated Google doodle sees the letter 'G' marking the height of the first 'O', which appears to quite excited it has grown substantially since its last measurement. The letter 'L' however has a point to make, running up to get its height marked off on the wall. Being of equal height with the big 'G', it's no surprise the 'L' is much taller than the 'O' - which loses its excitement to see the marked difference in heights.

The doodle is visible to almost all regions across the world, as depicted by the company on its doodle archive page - which also shows the company having celebrated September 27 as its birthday with a doodle on 9 separate occasions - and in 2009, also Germany's Election Day.
Google celebrated its 15th birthday last year with an interactive Google doodle that featured a pinata game. Google's 14th birthday was marked with a doodle that featured a cake with 14 candles. The cake transformed into a Google logo, as each candle was blown out.
The Mountain View giant started celebrating its birthday on September 27 after 2005, when it made an announcement about indexing a record number of pages. Google acknowledges that the exact date when it celebrates its birthday has moved around over the years.
The company details its history on its corporate page, listing all the important milestones in its 16 year career, from the day co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin met in Stanford in 1995, to the day in September 2013 when Android passed the 1 billion device activation milestone. 2014 doesn't feature any milestones yet.

Retrain Your Brain Into A Positive Powerhouse...

Retrain Your Brain Into A Positive Powerhouse...

Train your brain. At one point, we trained our brains to think the way they do. The good news is that we can retrain ourselves to think positively. Here are five tips to make sure you're using your 70,000 thoughts in a positive manner:

1. Observe your thoughts.

Even if it is just for 10 minutes. After all, you can’t fix a problem you don’t know about. Once you observe your thinking, you will know where to start.

2. Choose a mantra for the day.

In the morning, decide on a mantra. You'll repeat it silently to yourself as you go about your day. Maybe it’s something as simple as “Today is beautiful” or “I'm a happy person.” Using a mantra will not only give you something positive to think about, but it also takes up time your brain might otherwise use for negative thoughts.

3. Use an app.

In today’s technologically based society, there’s an app for everything — including positive thinking. Check out apps like Louise L. Hay’s Stress-Free Life and I Can Do It 2013 calendar. Each of these apps provides an affirmation for the day.

4. Transform a negative into a positive.

All of us have one thought that dominates our mind. For some, it’s that extra 10 pounds we have been working diligently to get off. For others, finances can weigh us down. Take that main issue and turn it into an affirmation. Instead of focusing on the extra weight, say to your self, “I'm beautiful just the way I am.” No, it won’t make that pesky 10 pounds come off, but it will give you confidence and motivation.

5. Make a gratitude list.

On one of those off days, sit down with a piece of paper and come up with five things you're grateful for. Is the A/C in your car the perfect remedy for the summer heat? Are you reading a good book? Believe it or not, all these things and more are something to be grateful for. Making a gratitude list can alter your mood and keep you focused on the positive in life.

Carrots and sticks does not work. Purpose does.......
Most of our motivation gets stuck at the workplace. Dan Pink and the author of “Drive: The Surprising Truth about What Motivates Us” tries to look into the correlation of work, extrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and performance. He debunks the equation between higher rewards and better performance. The solution is in intrinsic motivation and purpose – to do things that matter.  As he says, that’s why Microsoft’s Encarta didn’t succeed whereas another encyclopedia where people volunteered for free was a raging success. Guess the name before you click on Play.

Inspiration is a stimulating feeling…..
Inspiration is a stimulating feeling that we seek to motivate us, to continue pressing forward through hardships and to find meaning amidst chaos. What inspires us is sometimes found in the rarest of forms. It is sometimes in plain sight. It is often stumbled upon without intention, and it is sometimes graciously handed to us in the form of wise words, spoken by experienced and influential minds.
For those who are feeling aimlessly lost in the journey to find themselves, those who are feeling stuck under the darkest clouds waiting for a ray of sunshine and those who simply need a dose of encouragement, heed these words of wisdom.
From some of the most gifted minds to the greatest influencers of our generation; from currently eminent leaders to those illustrious leaders who made a difference and left us too soon, here are some of the most inspirational speeches of our time in chronological order.

Why is man on the earth...?Why Are You on the Earth?George Herbert’s poem called “Praise” contains a verse that has been taped to my computer monitor since I first read it years ago.

Of all the creatures both in sea and land
Only to man Thou has made known Thy ways,
And put the pen alone into his hand,
And made him secretary of Thy praise.
This is the answer to our question. Why is man on the earth? He is here to be the secretary of the praise of God.
To which our querying minds say, But do not “the heavens tell the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1), and not just man? Are not “the things that have been made” the secretary of his divine attributes (Romans 1:20)? Do not the “the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord” (Psalm 96:12), and “the rivers clap their hands”  Do not “the mountains and the hills break forth into singing” (Isaiah 55:12)?
Yes. They do.
But “there is no speech, nor are there words. Their voice is not heard” (Psalms 19:3). This is not the work of the secretary. The work of the secretary is to transcribe the song of the mountains, the clapping of the rivers, and the singing of the forest, and the telling of the heavens.
Man is here to interpret and transcribe the praises of God.
The singing trees are not the secretary. The psalmist who told us what the trees are saying is the secretary. The blog writer who quotes the psalmist is the secretary. The mother who points her child to the tree and speaks of God is the secretary.
